Pakistan’s shame: Country’s biggest child pornography ring busted

Punjab’s Child Protection Bureau has disclosed country’s largest child pornography ring, in which 400 videos have been confiscated featuring more than 280 children being sexually exploited.
The Nation published the report of organised child sex exploitation, which has shocked the nation. According to the report, most of the victims were under 14 years of age. In one of the videos a six-year-old boy can be seen forced to perform sexual act, and a 10-year-old schoolgirl who was filmed being molested by a 14-year-old boy.

Scientists find earliest evidence of procreation in complex organism

A soft-bodied, fernlike creature reproduced in Earth's ancient oceans about 565 million years ago, making it the earliest known example of procreation in a complex organism, a new study finds.

Many scientists consider the creatures, called rangeomorphs, some of Earth's first complex animals, although it's impossible to know exactly what these organisms were, the researchers said. The creatures prospered in the ocean during the late Ediacaran period, between 580 million and 541 million years ago, just before the Cambrian era. Rangeomorphs could grow up to 6.5 feet (2 meters) in length, but most were about 4 inches (10 centimeters) long.

Procreation by complex organisms.

Bringing Langar And A Message of Egalitarianism to Capitol Hill

For as long as I can remember, my Sunday mornings have been spent handing out warm rotis during the Langar service at my home Gurdwara, a Sikh place of worship, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Growing up, I watched Jewish community members learn how to say the greeting "Sat Sri Akal" while breaking bread with our gurdwaras' caretakers; I overheard a doctor in our community offer a job to the secretary sitting next to him on the floor during Langar, and during every Langar, I felt the sense of unity that prevails amongst all who enter a Langar hall. I experienced this same feeling of solidarity as I watched some of our nation's most powerful legislators join with interns, staffers and community members to eat during a Langar on Capitol Hill, co-hosted by my class of SALDEF (the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund)'s SikhLEAD Internship program and Congressman Mike Honda's office.

There is such a thing as a Free Lunch!
