First Ever Bug-like Robot That Can Walk On And Leap Off Water’s Surface
As the technology moves at a break-neck speed, the exciting field of Robotics has made great strides over the years. The robots continues to become more and more sophisticated, feature-filled, strong, fast, flexible, smart and the list goes on.
This year alone scientists showcased wide-range of impressive robots from a cheetah-like to samurai-wielding to an immense automaton that is built for combat.
And just recently a research team just whipped up a bug-like robot which can jump over the water’s surface successfully mimicking natural movement in a man-made system. A first of its kind feat in the realms of Robotics.

Growing up as a minority in America (Lebanese -- Muslim -- Woman), there were so many shining examples of authentic, strong and powerful Muslim women around (both local and global), yet often times the pundits who were telling my story and talking about my identity were neither Muslim nor women.
In our work at Connecther and in particular with our focus areas being Southeast Asia and the MENA region, I have the privilege of working with some amazing Muslim women -- women who run highly effective grassroots organizations or speak out against injustice. Yet despite their achievements, the media seems to always portray Muslim women as victims.
