What’s in a Name? Religious Nones and the American Religious Landscape
Over the last several years the term religious “Nones” has become a major topic of discussion and analysis by those who pay attention to religious trends. Although the term dates back at least to the 1960s, based on its current usage and popularization, it would appear as though it is a completely new designation for a growing segment of the American population—those who are unaffiliated with any religious group.

Christians, Muslims Pray Together At The Chattanooga Mosque Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez Attended
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - A small group of Christians visited a mosque in Chattanooga to pray alongside Muslim worshippers.
The guests who went to the Islamic Society of Greater Chattanoogamosque for prayers on Friday were mainly Baptists, and at least one Presbyterian.
One visitor told the Chattanooga Time Free Press they went to the mosque as a show of love for the Muslim community. Some also brought their children.

On Sunday morning, March 15th, 22-year-old Akash Bashir volunteered to guard the gates outside of St. John’s Catholic Church in Lahore, Pakistan. As the service drew to a close, an armed gunman strapped with explosives sprinted towards the entrance, firing at the gate. Bashir and a fellow security volunteer managed to knock the attacker over. When the man tried to get up, Bashir tackled him, hugging him tightly as he set off his explosives a few moments later. Fifteen were killed, including Bashir, in twin suicide bombings that day, but witnesses said if not for Bashir’s bravery, the numbers would have been far worse.
