Holocaust Survivor Shares Amazing Story Of Kindness In A Concentration Camp

Though the Holocaust was full of unimagineable horrors, a touching story from a concentration camp survivor shows that the kindness of the human spirit was never lost among the prisoners.

In a clip from the documentary film, "HUMAN," 82-year-old Holocaust survivor Francine Christophe tells how she reaped a priceless reward for a small act of kindness as a child, decades later. The clip was posted on the film's Facebook page and has received over 450,000 shares and over 7,000 comments from people who have been moved by the story.

                                                                            

UN chief condemns recent killings of Palestinians, without mention of Israeli terror victims

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon on Tuesday expressed his concern over the recent surge in tensions between Israelis and Palestinians, condemning the killings of Palestinians without mention of Israeli terror victims.

The UN chief said he is "profoundly alarmed by the growing number of deadly incidents in the West Bank, including east Jerusalem."

"The Secretary-General welcomes the commitment by Palestinian and Israeli officials to work together to curb the violence, including through continued security cooperation," he added.

Ban said he did not believe that the demolition of homes belonging to Palestinian terrorists or the construction of new Israeli settlements "will do anything other than inflame tensions still further."

In Narendra Modi’s India, is a cow’s life worth more than a Muslim’s? Sadly, the answer seems to be yes.

In late September, a Hindu mob in the northern Indian town of Dadri killed Muhammad Akhlaq, a 50-year-old Indian Muslim, for allegedly consuming and storing beef. In August 2014, Hindu extremists killed a Muslim man in North India after police charged him with the crime of slaughtering a cow. And in March 2015, a news video showing a Muslim man tied with a noose, beaten, and forced to praise the Hindu deity Ram went viral. The man’s crime?
